Nanook EP Launch Gig

I went down to catch the Nanook gig and hear their new stuff. Formerly named Cal, Colin’s band have been on the local scene for as long as I have been photographing gigs. Their new launch introduces a new noisier sound and Chris McCrory’s influence is obvious. The highlight of the night was the very fun and qwirky 2-piece Serpentine Smile.

Rhoda Moore in Starbucks

I shot the talented guys from local band Crooked Little Town in the Spring and Airbrake last week. Tried to grab some strobist promo shots round the side of the venue but It was freezing – and too dark to focus!

For the 2nd year running I have shot the concert at the final stage of the “beginner to band” program run by the AMMA Centre. 15 bands made up of schoolkids showcased their songwriting and performance skills in the Iveagh Cinema, Banbridge. I grabbed some promo shots with my new strobist gearand it was a lot of fun to use!
