Saturday was definitely beach weather, and chris Martha and I had a great time down at the National Trust’s Murlough nature reserve for their engagement photoshoot.
I dont recommend running about with your camera too much on a sandy beach unless you have weather sealed pro lenses, and even then you have to brush your gear down after. Cameras don’t like sand!

We had a family re-union and a meal in Brownlow House, Lurgan for my father-in-laws 65th birthday. It was the perfect opportunity to take some family portraits. (I used a remote trigger to take the shots that I’m in!)

A great alternative to a studio photography session is to have your family portraits taken on location. I love to get out in the fresh air (or very fresh as it has been this winter!) It’s all very relaxed and great fun. Bring your dog along too. Here are some shots from before Christmas, taken in the grounds of Belfast Castle.

I had great fun with Victoria and Adam during their engagement funshoot last week. On my way over to Bangor the weather was looking miserable, but we were sheltered from the worst of it whilst in the wood. Thank-you guys for braving the wind and rain and being so up for it!
